This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for
an individual to be competent in skilled operations and
team leading or supervision. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Job roles

Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as:

• supervising the operation of a bar or restaurant

Possible job titles include:

• food and beverage supervisor
• bar supervisor

Study at Home Study on Campus (7mths F/T or Equivalent P/T)

This course requires the completion of all subjects listed above, plus one elective. The unit of competence SITFAB009A 'provide responsible service of alcohol' - will be provided by an RTO currently listed as a preferred supplier with the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing, as the institute is not currently a preferred supplier.
